Provocative, exotic and new, disabled performers take center stage in this one-night only New York appearance of Outside the Box/Performing Disability.

There has been a seismic shift in disability arts over the last decade, both in form and content. Using unique configurations of body, voice and mind, these artists are constructing new art and new art forms. Outside the Box/Performing Disability brings the best international talent in theatre, dance, spoken word and beyond to the Kimmel Center at New York University.

The emcee Mat Fraser, is an internationally known actor and playwright (Sealboy: Freak, Thalidomide: The Musical). Fraser was most recently featured as Puck in, The Kaos Dream, a revisioning of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which toured Britain last October, where it enjoyed sell out audiences, complaints from Catholic School teachers, and standing ovations.

Ticket information

SDS conference attendees who register prior to the early-bird registration deadline can purchase tickets at a discount ($12) through the registration system.

All others who wish to purchase tickets should fill out the ticket reservation form and submit it. Tickets cost $18 per ticket. Credit card information is required when reserving tickets.
