Lodging

The diversity that New York City brings as a venue for the SDS conference is more than evident in some of the presentations submitted for the conference. New York’s culture and vibrancy in the summer time will make the conference experience thoroughly enjoyable for participants visiting New York. For the lodging accommodations, SDS will provide two options for conference visitors. Designed to keep budgets in mind, the two lodging venues provide diversity and comfort. In addition, this web site will serve as a hub for participants who wish to find additional lodging choices.

New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania

Located across from the 7th Avenue entrance of Penn Station, the Hotel Pennsylvania provides a space for comfort.

SDS has contracted with the hotel to provide the 2008 conference participants special rates during the annual conference period. Starting the 17th of June to the 22nd, the hotel will make rooms available for participants at the rate of $229.00 per night (single bed) or $279.00 per night (double beds).

Please use the contact information available below to make reservations directly with the hotel. Please indicate that you will be attending the Society for Disability Studies event to receive this rate. If you have any accommodation needs, be sure to let the hotel know about your needs. The hotel’s “ADA” accessible rooms are limited so be sure to book your room early.
