Philadelphia’s historic culture and beauty in late spring will make the conference experience thoroughly enjoyable for participants visiting Pensylvania. For the lodging accommodations, SDS will provide multiple experiences, integrated experience for conference visitors wishing to stay on campus as well as an experience for those wishing to take in downtown Philadelphia. Designed to keep budgets in mind, the official conference venues provide diversity and comfort.

Temple University Dormitory

Located at the heart of Temple University campus, the University dorm will provide the most affordable and convenient option to conference attendees. Comfortable and accessible, the dorm building is close to the conference facility, is air-conditioned, and provides internet access in common areas. Options are available for those who wish to share lodging accommodations with others or those who wish to have single rooms.

For your convenience, the following room rates summarize the dorm choices you will have available. Note that these rates are per person for each night of stay at the facility.

Accessible room (double): $67 (no additional tax)
Accessible room (single): $74 (no additional tax)
Nonaccessible room (double): $67 (no additional tax)
Nonaccessible room (single): $74 (no additional tax)

Temple dorm facility is configured in suites. Each suite has two rooms. There is one shared bathroom per suite.

Reserving a room at Temple

You will be able to reserve a room at Temple by using SDS’s conference registration process. Please keep these important notes and timelines in mind if you wish to reserve a room at the dorm.

Your reservation must be made no later than May 1, 2010
You will be charged the total amount of your dormitory stay when you reserve a room (or rooms)
If you choose to pay with a check, your payment must be received in accordance with SDS’s payment requirements to ensure that your reservation is not cancelled
You may choose to take advantage of the earlybird discounts for conference registration by April 15; and you may return by May 1 to reserve your dorm room
if sharing a room with someone or if you wish to ensure that you wish to share a suite with someone who is reserving the same type of room, please indicate the name of the person in the “adjoining” option during registration.
The rates listed above are per person for each night of stay at the dorm facility.

Additional hotel options

In addition to the rates available for Temple dorms, other rooms have been made available at hotels either on the Temple University campus or in Center City Philadelphia. Please see the information below for specific hotels. Note that the rates quoted below do not include taxes or other applicable charges. Check with the hotel at the time of reservation about additional costs.

Conwell Inn

The Conwell In is located on the Temple University campus. A small hotel, the Inn has limited number of rooms available for conference participants. Please reserve by May 1, 2010.
