To bring together a a global imagination to the 2010 SDS conference, This year's conference will take place in Philadelphia Pensylvania at the Temple University. To be held from June 2 to June 5 of 2010, the conference anticipates bringing scholars from around the nation and many countries. Inviting nominations for the SDS Senior Scholar Award.

The award will be presented annually at the SDS Conference.

General qualifications for a "senior scholar":

• The nominee should have a terminal degree in his/her relevant field (PhD, EdD, MFA, DOT, DPT, etc.)
• The scholar should have a minimum of a decade of experience as a scholar in the field (such experience can include published scholarship, creative/artistic production, significant grants/applied research, or other equivalent activities)
