SDS strives to provides significant value for the organization’s members. Membership Types
Following types and costs of memberships are enacted:
- Life-time membership $1,450
- Organizational membership $350
- Professional membership $135
- Student/Low-Income membership $40
Lifetime Membership – $1450.00
- Allow individuals interested in purchasing life-time memberships to do it over two years with two $500.00 payments
- Acknowledge newly-joined life-time members at the SDS membership meeting
- List names of SDS life-time members in the conference program
- All other benefits of Professional Membership
Organizational Membership – $350.00
- A new organizational membership level for institutions of higher learning or other organizations such as independent living centers
- Allow institutions to nominate up to two student/low-income members for free SDS memberships
- Can post freely to a job page on the SDS website and listserve
- List names of organizational members in the conference program
- Guaranteed 10-minute slot on panel at SDS Annual Conference to describe program/services
Professional Membership – $135.00
- Access to SDS listserve and discussion lists
- Discounted conference rates
- Searchable member directory
- Discounts on other Journals
- A membership to SDS allows members to take advantage of partnerships with other journals in the field to realize substantial cost savings. These journals include: Disability and Society, Journal of Disability Policy Studies, and more.
Student/Low-Income Membership – $40.00
- Access to SDS listserve and discussion lists
- Discounted conference rates
- Searchable member directory
- Discounts on other Journals
- A membership to SDS allows members to take advantage of partnerships with other journals in the field to realize substantial cost savings. These journals include: Disability and Society, Journal of Disability Policy Studies, and more.
