This year, the Society for Disability Studies (SDS) joins nonprofits around the world in launching a fundraising campaign for “Giving Tuesday” on December 2, 2025! Whether you are working on your regular slate for year-end giving among the many organizations in your orbit, or are a new member looking for ways to join in SDS’s work, please consider supporting SDS next week.
We are at a crucial time in the organization’s history, with bulwark institutions like Disability Studies Quarterly, SDS’s field-wide conference, and a regular schedule of accessible events at risk. Your generosity could be the key in honoring and maintaining SDS’s legacy for many years and scholars to come.
There are many ways for you to help us reach our goal of $30,000 in December, no matter the scale of your donation:
1. If you haven’t renewed your yearly membership dues yet, please do so on our Patreon.
2. This Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2), please make a donation through our PayPal account. Please note that donations are tax deductible.
3. If you’re on socials (BlueSky, Instagram, or X), please take a second to follow us and boost our fundraising content.

1. Funding a paid editorship for DSQ
