Our annual election is approaching and the organization is seeking several volunteers to join the board. If you or someone you know would be a dedicated board member, please consider filling out this form. Nominations are due by July 3rd, with elected board members joining the board effective September 1st.
This year, we’ll be electing:
- A president-elect
- A treasurer
- 5 at-large board members (who serve on one of three committees, Publications & Communications, Events & Conferences, and Elections & Nominations)
- 2 graduate student representatives
Everyone but the graduate student representatives serves a three-year term; the graduate student representatives serve two-year terms. We ask that people attend bi-monthly board meetings on the first Friday of the month from 12-1:30 Eastern and dedicate 4-5 hours each month to committee activities. It’s not a lot of work, but it’s important and keeps the organization alive.
